2-4-6. Adjusting the Level of the Signals for
a Waveform Monitor
The video output signal of this unit can be checked using
waveform monitor connected to the WF output connector.
Adjust the level of the WF output signal using the color-
bar signal.
Adjusting the level of the WF output siganal
1.
Connect the RCP or RM to the CCU-590 and press the
BARS button to display the color-bar signal on a
waveform monitor.
*
The “WFM” output can be switched by the CCU
CONFIGURATION menu (page “C00”). When
“WFM” output is not set to ENC, set it to ENC
before adjustment.
2.
Adjust the color-bar level to the specified level “A”
using the CONFIGURATION menu (“LEVEL” of
“WFM” on page “C08”).
Test point:
WF OUT connector/CCU rear panel
Specifications:
A = 100
±
1 IRE (for NTSC)
A = 700
±
7 mV (for PAL)
Adjusting the staircase signal
Adjust the staircase signal for displaying the signal on the
waveform monitor screen in sequential mode. This
adjustment is necessary only when the signal in sequential
mode does not appear on the waveform monitor correctly.
1.
Set the “WFM” output to “SEQ” by the CCU CON-
FIGURATION menu (page “C00”).
2.
Adjust the interval of the signals displayed on the
monitor screen with
1
RV301 (STAIR STEP POSI-
TION control) on the EN-156B board.
3.
Adjust the intervals of A and B are equal by
1
RV302
(STAIR STEP LEVEL control) on the EN-156B
board.
The waveform-monitor control signal is output from this
unit synchronizing with the output signal of the WF output
connector when SEQ is set.
n
Control of sequential mode depends on the waveform
monitor. If necessary, reverse the polarity of the control
signal by the switch S301 (SEQ ON) on the EN-156B
board.
If the adjustment is impossible with the polarity reversed,
adjust on the waveform monitor.
