. The reply will by default be a multimedia message. To make the reply a text
message, select

Send Via SMS

Changing MMS settings
When you start your phone for the first time, it automatically acquires your wireless service
provider’s MMS settings. If you accidentally lose the preset settings, or if you want to add
another wireless service provider, you can have the settings installed automatically, or you
can enter them manually. Contact your service provider for more information.
To install MMS settings automatically

Preferences
tab, select your options.

On the
Receiving Options
tab, select your options.

Sending Options

MMS Profiles
tab, check if your device is preset with MMS server settings.

If there are no settings, tap
New
and enter the following information, which you can
get from your service provider:
•
Profile name
: A descriptive name, such as your service provider name.
•
MMSC address
: Location of the MMS server, which is usually in the form of an IP address.
•
Data connection
: Select the connection that your phone uses for multimedia messages.
•
Gateway
: Select either WAP 1.x or WAP 2.0, depending on which one is being used by
your service provider.
•
Gateway address
: URL address of the server where multimedia messages are stored.
•
Port
: HTTP port number used for connecting to the MMS server and for file transfer.
You can choose to download multimedia messages in both your home and roaming network,
keep track of your multimedia messages, request a delivery or read receipt report, set the
resolution for images that you send, and more. If your phone already has preset MMS settings,
we recommend that you do not change these settings. If you enter settings for several MMS
providers in
Profiles
, you can choose one as your default provider.
To set an MMS service provider as the default provider
