Preliminary operations

Preliminary operations

Stops on the gate

Stops must be set firmly in the ground
so as to limit the opening and closing
travel the leaves.
The location of these stops is determined
by the leaves' opening angle (< or = to
120°).
The two leaves may have different ope-
ning angles.

Types of gates able to be motorised

Your SGA can be used with any type of gate, provided its structure is sufficiently sturdy.

Brackets

Points to be checked before installing

Checking your gate

Your gate is in good condition: It will open and close normally without being forced.
It remains horizontal as it is swinging open/closed. Opens inward.

Brackets located on the gate

The fastening lugs for the motor drive's
arms must be mounted on the horizontal
brackets of the leaves, at about 1/3 of the
height of the gate.
If there are no such brackets, use backing
plates approx. 4 mm thick.

Checking the gateposts

The gateposts must be sturdy and at least 25 cm wide. Otherwise, your gateposts may
need servicing to ensure that they are firmly set in the ground and that the angle bracket is
securely fastened.

Quality of gateposts' surface

Gateposts which are out of plumb or have a non-flat surface require the use of an inter-
mediate support bearing plate. Likewise, when the motor fastening lugs do not completely
fit on the gatepost, or are close to the gatepost's angle, this intermediate bearing plate
(prod. 2400485) must be attached.
