Keep solar panels away from shade and windows. Solar panels are more efficient and
will harvest more energy when fully exposed to sunlight. Windows will also decrease
solar panel efficiency.

●

Proper solar panel alignment harvests the greatest amount of energy from the sun.
Keeping your solar panel angled toward the sun can dramatically increase solar
efficiency.

●

Solar panels are more efficient when they are kept cool. Solar panels should always be
elevated to allow airflow underneath them for the greatest efficiency. The exceptions
are flexible panels but they should be mounted to a surface that will allow for the
greatest amount of heat transfer.
