1-4 FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION, DIGITAL DISTRIBUTION UNOT (DDU)

The Model 9200 DDU is an expansion unit and provides additional digital distribution capability for the Model
9100 MFTS.

Sine wave reference frequencies and IRIG-B cannot be distributed by this unit.

Features

include the following:

•

Up to 14 Digital Distribution and or Telecom modules may be installed

•

Fault/Status reporting through Model 9100 interfaces

•

Single or redundant power supplies

The Terminator and Fault Logic Module (TFL) provides proper termination for the redundant reference signals
produced in the Model 9100. It also functions as the internal fault collection point for all faults developed within
the Model 9200 and the communications link between the Model 9200 and 9100.

Redundant power supplies provide all operational DC power for all modules. Power supplies can either
universal AC input optional 20-60 Vdc input.

A one-meter signal interconnect cable and line terminator plug are supplied with each Model 9200.

The functional block diagram for the Model 9200 DDU is shown in Figure 1-2.
