Safety Instructions
•
Cabinets MUST BE positioned on a stable, level floor.
•
Cabinet power cable must be securely plugged into a standard GPO &
switched On.
•
Inspect door components of the equipment prior to use as well as daily
–
inspection to also be performed on rear door where fitted.
o
Inspect the door components i.e.: handle, hinges, and locking
mechanism (where fitted) for functionality, wear and tear or damage.
o
Is the door easy to open and shut?
o
Are there any obstructions in front of, or near the door to prevent it from
opening?
o
Do the cabinet interior lamps illuminate when the door is opened &
extinguish when the door is closed?
•
Inspect the silicone connection hoses & luer fittings for wear & tear or damage.
•
Are the silicone connection hoses connected to the cabinet post luer fittings?
•
Are the silicone connection hoses connected to the cleaning adaptors or
scopes as per instruction diagrams?
•
Are the instruction diagrams located within convenient view?
•
Is the power cable securely plugged in & power turned On?
•
Inspect all data system components power cables are securely plugged in &
power is switched On.
•
Inspect all data system components, accessories & connection cables for
functionality, wear & tear or damage.
•
Inspect the digital display for normal function.
•
If any inspection fails, please advise your supervisor as soon as possible.
The Cabinet Environmental Monitor measures and records the following cabinet
conditions:
•
Cabinet Internal Chamber Temperature
•
System Vacuum level
•
Cabinet Humidity
•
Cabinet Internal Pressure
•
Routine Cleaning Status
•
Power including Outages, Interlocking Doors and generates signal notifications
to Hospital Alarm Monitor System
•
Scope location and storage times
•
OOC

Out of Cabinet Time Countdown
–
maximum of 180 minutes allowed for
a scope to be outside of the Storage Cabinet after reprocessing. Ie a scope
should be dried within 3 hours.
The system automatically maintains a positive pressure within each cabinet. By having
a positively pressured cabinet, external air (cleaning room) will inhibit flow into the
cabinet.
All the Environmental Conditions are measured and recorded by the Data
Management System as required to meet the EN16442 standards. During cabinet
