SmartStation Overview 

The SmartStation is a universal device which is a combination of a Linux Controller, 
Touch  Screen,  and  a  Barcode  Scanner  with  a  Printer  to  produce  sticker  labels  for 
reporting.  The  Barcode  Scanner  Handpiece  and  Charging  Dock  for  the  Barcode 
Scanner  Handpiece  is  located  here.  The  SmartStation  connects  to  the  Cabinet 
network  via  ethernet  cable  of  via  Wi-Fi.  The  inbuilt  Speaker  is  used  for  audio  and 
spoken prompts and the printer is used to deliver system warnings, and various printed 
stickers for different reported functions. 

The SmartStation is used to:

AER  -  Load/Unload  AER  -  Scan  Operator  Barcode,  Scope  Barcode,  AER 
Chamber Barcode to load the scope into the AER Washer

Reprocessing area

 Scan  Scope Barcode  and  print scope  status at  any 

location to validate the status of the scope

Used to print Error or Warning labels for reporting system status

Multiple SmartStations may be added to the system to make scanning and
