I5 INSTALL ● REV0
SECTION II PREPARATION
2-1. Preparatory Work
Because the SKYTRON I5 Washer-Disinfector is a
large and heavy machine, SKYTRON recommends a
pre-installation strategy be developed to ensure the
installation of the SKYTRON I5 Washer-Disinfector is
as effortless and convenient as possible. Determine
the kind and place of installation for the SKYTRON
I5 Washer-Disinfector in advance. Prepare the
required water/electrical supplies and drain floor
sink in accordance with the connection plan.
2-2. Receiving
The SKYTRON I5 Washer-Disinfector is delivered
in a suitable package. Please check the packing
immediately after receiving for outwardly recognizable
damages.
2-3. Unpacking
The SKYTRON I5 Washer-Disinfector is packaged in
a large crate that is shipped on a lift-truck accessible
pallet. The packaged machine on the shipping
pallet measures 40”W x 45”D x 89”H and weighs
approximately 900 pounds. SKYTRON recommends
that the machine is unpacked at the receiving dock.
CAUTION
Should any damage to the SKYTRON
I5 Washer-Disinfector be noted while
unpacking, further unpacking should be
discontinued. The container, with all the
wrapping, shall be held for inspection.
The transportation company must be
notified immediately so an inspector
can be sent.
WARNING
Personnel unpacking the SKYTRON I5
Washer-Di
sinfector
must use caution
when removing the machine from the
crate to prevent damage to the machine
and injury to themselves or others.
Included in the SKYTRON I5 Washer-Disinfector
shipping crate is one package containing the
Stainless-Steel Base Plate and other package
containing the Stainless-Steel Panels. SKYTRON
recommends pre-installing the Base Plate at the final
location of the Washer for the following reasons:
• Decreased transportation height.
• The ability to pre-orientate the Washer
footprint with the electrical, drain, and exhaust
services to establish accessibility.
• Establish a secure level platform to slide the
Washer onto at its final destination.
• Provide convenient accessible Drain-Tube
installation.
The Stainless-Steel Panels will be installed after
the Washer is secured to the Base Plate and all the
Utility Connections are made.
Detailed Base Plate Installation instructions can be
found in Section III – Installation, on page 12 of this
Installation Manual.
