Fluorescent
Ballast
Fluorescent lit chillers are fitted with light ballasts. The interior light ballast is
located under the ballast cover (below the sign panel). Fluorescent lit chillers
fitted with a lit sign have a ballast inside the sign assembly.
To access the interior light ballast
To access the sign light ballast (lit sign only)
1. Disconnect the chiller from the power supply.
2. Follow the steps to access the fuses (previous page).
3. The ballast can now be accessed.
1. Disconnect the chiller from the power supply.
2. Unplug and remove the sign assembly from the chiller.
3. Remove the fluorescent tube to avoid it being damaged.
4. Remove the sign wiring cover by undoing the four screws from the rear of
the sign unit.
5. The electronic ballast, mounted on the back of the sign wiring cover, can
now be accessed for replacement.
