To adjust track tension:
– Remove the tether cord cap.
– Loosen the rear idler wheel retaining screws.
– Loosen the lock nuts (on so equipped models), then turn adjust-
ment screws to adjust.
If correct tension is unattainable, contact an authorized SKI-DOO dealer.

– Retighten retaining screws and lock nuts (on so equipped models).
– Check track alignment as described below.
Alignment
Start the engine and accelerate slightly so that track barely turns. This
must be done in a short period of time (15 to 20 seconds).
WARNING
Before checking track alignment, ensure that the track is free
of all particles which could be thrown out while track is rotat-
ing. Use a wide-based snowmobile mechanical stand
equipped with a protector back panel. Keep hands, tools, feet
and clothing clear of track. Ensure no one is standing in close
proximity to the snowmobile, especially at the rear of the track.
Never rotate track at high speed.
