Position the bed at least 12” (30.5 cm) from any walls. This will prevent any damage to the
walls while the bed is in movement.
11.
Lock the casters into their proper position as indicated by the stickers located near the
casters on the bed.
NOTE
: This step is imperative. The bed may fail if the casters are not placed in the proper
position prior to use.
12.
Plug the bed into a grounded or hospital grade outlet.
Locate the “ON/OFF switch on the ECM and switch it to
the “ON” position.
WARNING:
To avoid electrical shock when plugging this bed into the wall outlet,
only use grounded or hospital grade outlets.
WARNING:
Follow EMC guidelines and safety precautions when the bed is
connected to powered source (page 47).
Radio wave sources such as radio stations, TV stations, amateur radio (HAM)
transmitters, two-way radios and cellular phones can affect this bed. Following
the warnings listed for electromagnetic interference should reduce the chance of
the bed’s unintended movement that could result in serious injury.
