Introduction
1.1
General
1.1.1 Purpose
The electric column radiator type SR8600 has been designed to heat rooms in restricted area’s up to a maximum
temperature of 40°C, where a potentially explosive atmosphere can arise from handling inflammable gases, vapours,
liquids and dust in combination with air can form explosive mixtures.
1.1.2 Application
The electric column radiator type SR8600 can be used in material storage area’s for paint and chemical products and
in battery area’s which can be found on off-shore platforms, chemical and petro-chemical plants, engine rooms and
gas stations.
1.2
Description and data
1.2.1 Construction
The electric column radiator type SR8600 consist of a mixture of water and anti-freeze and heated by a flameproof
immersion heater type D-8640 in the lowest part of the radiator. There is a pressure safeguard in the upper part of the
radiator which is set to an excess pressure of 0.3 bar.
The connection of the apparatus shall be made by cable entries of a certified flameproof model.
