Operation, Use and Maintenance
2.1
Operation and Use
2.1.1 Handling
The user must ensure that his employees are fully trained and supervised in the proper working procedures in order to
ensure their safety. The plant must be maintained in a safe condition. Ensure that the equipment is correctly installed
in a suitable location by technically qualified staff.
Installation has to meet the requirements of NEN-EN-IEC 60079-14.
Before unpacking the equipment ensure that all items are available and that the package is in good condition and
undamaged. Any damages must be reported to the site manager and subsequently to Sinus-Jevi Electric Heating B.V.
For installation mounting materials have to be used which are suitable for the application.
Please refer to the dimensional sketch or documentation for precise data and indication of mounting position.
2.1.2 Assembling
Fasten the floor supports between the second and third rib of the radiator at both ends.
Larger types such as SR8600/2000 need a third floor support in between.
Determine the position of the four wall brackets and fix the radiator onto the wall.
Distance between column radiator and wall must have a minimum distance of 50 mm.
Unscrew the cover from the connection housing by first loosening the locking screw and than turning it in an anti-
clockwise direction then connect the power cable to the terminals L, N and earth PE.
Screw the lid by re-tightening the locking screw (use a 2 mm Allan key).
Check whether the voltage the premises agree with the voltage mentioned on the type plate.
Follow the mounting instructions of the cable gland.
If necessary connect the earth bolt on the connecting housing to earth avoiding electrostatic discharging,
Connect the column radiator with the room thermostat type ERT.
Check the temperature setting of the thermostat type ERT.
2.1.3 Visual Inspection
Check whether the column radiator can exchange the heat freely to the air on all sides.
Warning! Do not place materials on top of the heater or cover the heater.
2.2
Maintenance
2.2.1 Cleaning of the column radiator
The column radiator is basically maintenance-free.
Any dust and dirt can be removed at regular intervals by means of a dry cloth or a damp cloth soaked in water
containing a non-aggressive cleaning detergent.
