Depth calibration
This function is used to enable calibration of the PI32 Depth
sensor.
To access this function, press the
MENU
button to open the
main menu. Then, open the
Setup
menu, and select
Sensor
alarm/calibration
.
The
Depth calibration
feature will calibrate the current depth
of the Depth sensor to one -1- meter.
1
Lower the sensor over the side to a depth of one meter, to
a certain draft depth plus one meter, or to any reference
level that you wish to be defined as one meter.
2
Once the reading from the sensor is stable, set
Depth
sensor calibration
to YES.
The calibration takes one minute. While the process is running,
the numerical presentation is shown with grey text. Note that the
sensor must be submerged into salt water to perform the
calibration.
