5 Installation
Warning:
- The electrical installation and repair must be carried out by an electrical engineer with
the relevant training and qualifications and in accordance with the applicable national
and local regulations.
- The equipment must be properly earthed. Earthing is necessary to ensure proper and
safe operation and to prevent electric shocks upon contact. This is ensured via the
Manager IQ Easy.
- Disconnect the power supply before carrying out any work on the unit.
The IQ Easy Sensor is exclusively supplied by and controlled with a Manager IQ Easy.
5.1 Checks
- Check the equipment for damage and whether you have received the correct version.
The Segment units are supplied in a separate package, because the sensors are very
sensitive to falling and bumping
- Check whether the data on the packing slip corresponds to the data shown on the product
received.

5.2 Installing Segment units in Sensor
- Remove the Segment unit / Segment unit with external sensor from the packaging and place it
in the desired docking station of the Sensor IQ Easy bar.
The Segment unit fits into the docking station only one way.
Place the opening in the PCB over the air tube (snorkel) and carefully push the Segment unit
into the docking station.
The two recesses on the side are different.
Together with the location of the opening in the PCB, this means that the Segment unit cannot
be mounted upside down.
Then tighten the two bolts on the side of the Segment unit.
Use a small screwdriver, not an electric screwdriver or cordless drill!
