Configuring
You configure the following:
● Bus link on PROFIBUS DP
During configuration, the couplers for the FF segment are always part of the bus link.
● FF devices on FF segment (FF subsystem in HW Config)
The necessary configuration steps are described in section "How to prepare a FOUNDATION
Fieldbus for FF devices (Page 27)".
S7-400H as DP master
The following AS components operate as DP master:
● CP 443-5 ext.
● PROFIBUS DP connection of the CPU
The following requirements are met for the DP master systems:
● The DP masters process the same user program.
● The DP masters have the same parameter assignment and configuration for the interface
modules.
Additional information
● You can find more information on redundant design of the PROFIBUS PA in the
documentation
SIMATIC; Process Control System PCS 7; Fault-Tolerant Process Control
Systems chapter "Redundant PROFIBUS PA".
● You can find information on the hardware design of the FOUNDATION Fieldbus in the
following documentation:

System changes during operation
The following changes are possible:
● Changing the DP master system
● Changing parameters in FF devices
● Inserting or removing entire FF segments
● Inserting or removing FF devices
Observe the rules for modifying the system during operation using CiR.
