4.
Remove the four screws with which the process heat sink is attached to the motherboard in
the reverse order: 4, 3, 2, 1.
–
On the heat sink on top, each screw is marked with a number.
–
The screws are located at the bottom of the heat sink, see figure after next, number
④
.
–
First, loosen screw number 4, then number 3, etc.
5.
Carefully lift the heat sink with the attached processor (below) completely from the
motherboard. Do not touch the processor and its connections in the process (see "ESD
directive").
6.
Rotate the heat sink and the processor 180° upside down and set the heat sink down first
(processor at the top) as shown in the following diagram. Select a suitable surface.
7.
Carefully remove the black, plastic base from the heat sink by loosening all four clips.
–
Place the plastic base exactly as it was attached.
–
Due to the direction of flow, you need to fasten it identically in step 11.
–
Note that the thermo-lubricant applied ensures adhesion of the processor to the heat
sink.
8.
Remove the processor from the plastic base. Do not touch the processor and its connections
in the process (see "ESD directive").
9.
Prepare the new processor by coating it with sufficient fresh thermo-lubricant.
