1.1

Application

The SITRANS P, MS series transmitter measures the pressure of non-aggressive 
and aggressive gases as well as critical vapors and liquids. Measuring spans 
between 0.03 and 400 bar are possible. The output signal is a load-independent 
direct current of 4 to 20 mA which is linearly proportional to the input pressure.

Transmitters of "intrinsically safe" and "pressure-proof encapsulated" design can be 
installed within hazardous areas (e.g. zone 1). The conformance certificates conform 
to the European standard (CENELEC).

Transmitters fitted with various types of chemical seal are available for special 
applications, e.g. measuring highly viscous media.

The transmitter can be parameterized locally by two pushbuttons or externally by 
HART®. The table below describes the basic parameters. Other parameters are 
accessible through HART® for special applications.

NOTE

The transmitter must be warm up for about 5 minutes after switching on the power 

in order to obtain stable measured values.
