Re-establishing channel bundling with the
Call before data option
If the
Call before data
option has been activated on your base station, channel bun-
dling will be terminated automatically when there is an incoming call:
u
The second B-channel is no longer used for channel bundling. The dial-up connec-
tion is continued on the remaining B-channel.
u
The incoming call is taken on the now free B-channel.
ì
Double-click the icon for the active dial-up connection in the status area of the task
bar.
This opens the
status display
for the dial-up connection.
ì
Open the
Details
tab.
It shows 1 device as the
number of active devices
.
ì
Click Resume.
This opens the dialogue for setting up the second connection.
ì
Click
Dial
.
This sets up the additional connection via the second B-channel. The status display
now shows 2 devices as the
number of active devices
.
Channel bundling is active again.
i
If you set up dial-up connection with channel bundling as the default con-
nection, the system checks whether both B-channels are free when it sets
up the connection.
If this is not the case, the dial-up connection is automatically set up via
one B-channel.
i
The following example was tested with Windows XP.
i
Channel bundling is not automatically restored after the telephone call.
