6.2 Switching threshold OUT 1
OUT1 changes its switching status when the configured upper and lower thresh-
olds [
d1.SP
,
d1.rP
] are exceeded. The source
d1.S
defines the signal at
the output Out1.
Two sources are available:
• Two-colour mode: [
d1
] → [
d1.S
] =
QUot.
• One-colour mode: [
d1
] → [
d1.S
]=
SpEc.
First set the upper temperature value of the switching point [
d1.SP
]. The
temperature can be defined in °C or °F according to the unit setting. Then set
the lower threshold [
d1.rP
]. When you adjust the upper threshold [
d1.SP
]
the lower threshold [
d1.rP
] will change accordingly. The span remains the
same. If [
d1.SP
]. is lowered to a value where the span cannot be maintained
(as [
d1.rP
] would then fall below its minimum value), the [
d1.rP
] is kept with
its minimum value.
If [
d1.SP
] subsequently increases again, [
d1.rP
] also immediately increas-
es. The minimum distance between [
d1.SP
] and [
d1.rP
] is 2 K.
6.3 Output signal
The following switching functions can be selected:
• Normally open contact: [
d1
] → [
d1.Fn
]=
no
(normally open)
• Normally closed contact: [
d1
] → [
d1.Fn
]=
nc
(normally closed)
6.4 Upper threshold delay
Once the sensor has detected a temperature which exceeds the switching threshold
[
d1.SP
] the time delay [
d1.dS
] starts running. When this delay period has
elapsed, the output OUT1 activates switching. This status is maintained until the low-
er threshold [
d1.rP
] is violated. If this occurs before the time delay has elapsed,
the delay will reset. This function can be used, for example, to suppress spurious
impulse signals at the output.
• Upper threshold delay: [
d1
] → [
d1.dS
] = 0...10 sec.
