Malfunctions: Configuration errors (parameterization)
Errors when using the Setup Assistant
Prerequisite
The “Device Ready“ LED lights up. If not, see

Fault
Possible cause
Remedy
DataMatrix AutoSetup:
The ICR cannot decode the code from the
content of its image memory.
•
The code is distorted.
•
Reading distance has changed after
adjustment
•
Evaluation range of the reading area in
the image memory was incorrectly
limited (image geometry or area of
interest)
•
Low code quality in image memory
•
Perform the reading while the code is
stationary. Check the content of the
image memory with CLV Setup/
ImageFTP: repeat steps 1 and 2 of
AutoSetup; trigger ICR; is the code still
distorted in the image memory? If OK,
complete AutoSetup.
•
Check with image output via ImageFTP:
Is the code recorded in sharp focus in
the image memory?
If necessary, readjust the ICR.
Repeat AutoSetup from the beginning.

Check with image output via ImageFTP:
Is the code recorded completely in the
image memory?
