Class 1
4 bytes input date; sensor-specific parameters are only accessible via the display
menu function.
Class 2
4 bytes input/4 bytes output data; sensor-specific parameters are accessible via GSD
and overwrite parameters, which were entered with the display function. Exception:
PROFIBUS address and offset with parameterized preset mode.
SICK

and overwrite parameters, which were entered with the display function. Exception:
PROFIBUS address and offset with activated preset mode. In addition, status bits
25 … 31 input data and control bits 29 …31 output data.
Recommended setting: SICK Profile Class 2: This profile provides the following advantages:
Measurement value and diagnosis bits are contained in the 4 bytes input data.
Preset activation and laser on/off function are contained in 4 bytes output data.
Extended diagnostics disabled. Almost complete range of functions with only 4 bytes I/O data.
