11. ACCESSORIES
A catalogue containing a list of the accessories available is supplied with the tyre changer.
All SICE accessories come with a complete set of instructions for mounting on tyre changers and correct use. USE ONLY ORIGINAL SPARES.
Using accessories that are not original can affect the safety of the tyre changer and immediately cause the SICE warranty to become
invalid.
WARNING!
Before making any inspection, adjustment or repair be certain power source is disconnected:
1) disconnect the machine from the mains electric supply.
2) disconnect the machine from the compressed air circuit by detaching the compressed air line from the quick
couple.
Perform the following routine maintenance operations:
1)
From time to time (about every 15 days) check the oil level in the lubricator, which
should be between the “MIN” and “MAX” indicators on the jar (
1, Fig. L
).
Top up as needed as follows:
- Unscrew the jar (
1, fig. L
)
- Top up with
ISO VG 32
viscosity
ISO HG
class oil for compressed air circuit (such as
ESSO Febis K32; Mobil Vacouline Oil 1405; KLUBER Airpress 32
).
2)
Every 2 or 3 days check if after every 2 or 3 pedal movements (
3 or 5, Fig. D
) a drop
of oil falls into the lubricator glass cup.
If it does not, adjust the lubricator regulating screw using a screwdriver (
see Fig. L
).
3)
Clean the machine daily to remove any dirt or tyre debris from the wheel clamp jaw
slides.

5)
Press the pedal down to
position 1
(
Fig. U/1
).
6)
If the bead of the tyre is not well seated, due to a strong bead, lift tyre manually until the upper bead seals against the rim, then press
the pedal all the way down (
position 2, Fig. U/1
).
A strong jet of air will be released through the nozzles in the slides and this will help the bead seal.
7)
Release the tyre; set the pedal back to
position 1
(
Fig. U/1
) and continue to inflate the tyre to the required pressure.
N.B.: If you over inflate the tyre, hold the deflate button (2, Fig. U/2) until the correct pressure is reached. Release the button to
check pressure on the manometer.
EXPLOSION HAZARD!
- NEVER exceed 3.5 bar (50 Psi) when seating beads or inflating tyres.
IMPORTANT! If a higher tyre inflation pressure is required, remove the wheel from the tyre changer and
continue the inflation procedure with the wheel inside a special protection cage (commercially available).
- NEVER exceed the maximum inflation pressure given by the tyre manufacturer.
- ALWAYS keep hands and entire body back from inflating tyre.
- ONLY specially trained personnel are allowed to perform these operations.
- Do not allow other to operate or be near the tyre changer.
