Fitting the wheel guard
1.
Slide the wheel guard onto the mounting pins.

2.
Insert the hexagon socket head bolt and washer
through the mounting flange hole and tighten slightly.
3.
Setting angle of protective cover: With the wheel gu-
ard open, the front section of the wheel guard must
be roughly 1900 mm above the floor.
4.
Finish-tighten the hexagon socket head bolt.

After tightening, check that the front section of the
wheel guard is roughly 1000 mm above the floor with
the guard closed.
4.5 Electrical
connection
!
The SBM 855 is only to be connected to the power
supply if the mains voltage available corresponds to
the rated voltage given on the rating plate.
1.
Check whether the mains voltage corresponds to the
rated voltage given on the rating plate.
2.
Provide fuse protection for the SBM 855 mains con-
nection in line with locally applicable standards. The
customer is responsible for providing fuse protection
for the mains connection.
3.
Connect the power cord to the SBM 855.

Checking the direction of rotation
1.
Check that the SBM 855 is correctly connected to
the mains power supply.
2.
Switch on the SBM 855 with the On/Off switch.
3.
Close the wheel guard or press the <
> button).
The shaft rotates.
4.
Check the direction of rotation of the shaft.

The correct direction of rotation is indicated by a
yellow arrow on the SBM 855. This arrow is situated
to the right of the flange.

If the direction of rotation is incorrect, the SBM 855
comes to an immediate stop and displays the error
message
(see section 11).
