Enhanced IDE and Floppy Connectors
The AK12 mainboard features two 40-pin dual-channel IDE device con-
nectors (IDE1/IDE2) providing the support to up to four IDE devices, such
as CD-ROM and Hard Disk Drives (H.D.D.). This mainboard also in-
cludes one 34-pin floppy disk controller (FDD) to accommodate the
Floppy Disk Drive (F.D.D.). Moreover, this mainboard comes with one
40pin ribbon cable to connect to IDE H.D.D. and one 34-pin ribbon cable
for F.D.D. connection.
Important:
Ribbon cables are directional, therefore, make sure to al-
ways connect with the red cable stripe on the same side as pin #1 of
the IDE1/IDE2 or FDC connector on the mainboard.
