Use these items to enable or disable PCI IDE channels that are inte-
grated on the mainboard.

The choice: Enabled, Disabled.
IDE Prefetch Mode
Enable prefetch mode for IDE drive interfaces that support its faster
drive accesses. If you are getting disk drive errors, change the setting
to omit drive interface where the errors occur. Depending on the con-
figuration of your IDE subsystem, this field may not appear, and
it does not appear when the Internal PCI/IDE field above is Disabled.

Primary/Secondary Master/Slave PIO
Each channel supports a master device and a slave device. These
four items let you assign which kind of PIO (Programmed Input/
Output) is used by IDE devices. You can choose Auto, to let the
system auto detect which PIO mode is best, or you can install a PIO
mode from 0-4.
