Place thickest areas tow ard outside of dish.
Cook for the shortest am ount of tim e indicated and add m ore tim e
as needed.
Food severely overcooked can sm oke or ignite.
Check recipe for suggestions: paper tow els, m icrow ave plastic
w rap or a lid.
Covers prevent spattering and help foods to cook evenly.
(Helps keep oven clean)
Use sm all pieces of alum inium foil to cover thin areas of m eat or
poultry in order to avoid overcooking.
From outside to center of dish once or tw ice during cooking, if
possible.
Foods such as chicken, ham burgers or steaks should be turned
over once during cooking.
Like m eatballs halfw ay through cooking both from top to bottom
and from the center of the dish to the outside.
After cooking ensure adequate standing tim e.
Rem ove food from oven and stir if possible.
Cover during standing tim e can allow the food to finish cooking
com pletely.
Look for signs indicating that cooking tem perature has been
reached. Doneness signs include:
– Steam em its throughout the food, not just at edge;
– Joints of poultry can be torn apart easily;
– Poultry show no pinkness;
– Fish is opaque and flakes easily w ith a fork.
A norm al part of m icrow ave cooking. The hum idity and m oisture
in food w ill influence the am ount of m oisture in the oven. Gener-
ally, covered foods w ill not cause as m uch condensation as
uncovered foods. Ensure that the ventilation openings are not
blocked.
When using a brow ning dish or self-heating m aterial, alw ays place
a heat-resistant insulator such as a porcelain plate under it to
prevent dam age to the turntable, roller stay and coupling due to
heat stress. The preheating tim e specified in the dish's instructions
m ust not be exceeded.
For cooking food w ith high fat content, do not bring the w rap in
contact w ith the food as it m ay m elt.
Som e m icrow ave safe plastic cookw are are not suitable for cook-
ing foods w ith high fat and sugar content.
