Food not listed in the Guide can be defrosted m anually using 30% (M ED•LOW) pow er level.

NOTE

1. When freezing m inced m eat, shape it into flat even sizes.
2. For chicken pieces, steaks and chop, freeze separately in single flat layers and if necessary
     interleave w ith freezer plastic to separate layers. This w ill ensure even defrosting.
3.  It is also a good idea to label the packs w ith the correct w eights.
4. A ceram ic plate can be used for defrosting m eat instead of the defrost rack (buy separately).

• Shield thin end of chops or steaks with foil.
• Position the food with thinner parts in the centre in

a single layer on the defrost rack.
If pieces are stuck  together, try to separate as
soon as possible.

• When oven has stopped, remove defrosted

pieces, turn over and shield the warm portions.

• Press start to continue defrosting.
• After defrost time, stand covered with aluminium

foil for 5-30 minutes.

• Place frozen minced meat on a defrost rack.

Shield edges.

• When oven has stopped, remove defrosted

portions, turn over and shield edges with foil strips.

• Press start to continue defrosting.
• After defrost time, stand covered with aluminium

foil for 5-30 minutes.

• Shield the edge with foil strips about 2.5cm wide.
• Place joint with lean side face upwards (if possible)

on the defrost rack.

• When oven has stopped, turn over and shield the

warm portions.

• Press start to continue defrosting.
• After defrost time, stand covered with aluminium

foil for 10-30 minutes.

• Remove from original wrapper. Shield wing and

leg tips with foil.

• Place breast side down on the defrost rack.
• When oven has stopped, turn over and shield the

warm portions.

• Press start to continue defrosting.
• After defrost time, stand covered with aluminium

foil for 15-60 minutes.

N.B. After standing run under cold water to remove

giblets if necessary.

• Shield the exposed bone with foil.
• Place chicken pieces on the defrost rack.
• When oven has stopped, remove defrosted

pieces, turn over and shield the warm portions.

• Press start to continue defrosting.
• After defrost time, stand covered with aluminium

foil for 5-30 minutes.
