Basic Operation
Common operations
This section explains how to select applications, entries and items, how to enter
characters, and how to scroll through screens.
•
Highlight the selected application, entry or item.
•
Using the scroll keys moves the highlighted position.
•
Pressing
executes the selected operation.
•
Pressing
returns to the previous screen or closes a current menu window.
The Address Book application is used in the following examples. These techniques
can be applied to all of the applications.
Pressing keys and tapping buttons/icons and tablet keys
You can operate the unit by pressing keys on the unit and selecting commands from
menus.
The unit can be operated by pressing the keys or tapping on-screen with the stylus.
To open an application on the Main menu screen
The Main menu screen displays all major applications.
This outlines, how to display the Main menu screen, and how to select applications
are explained here.
Note:
You can customize the Main menu screen. See page 31 “Main menu
screen” for further details.
