AR-6020V OPERATIONAL DESCRIPTIONS 11 – 12
7. Paper exit section
A. Mechanism relation diagram
B. Paper exit operation
<S model>
The main motor (MM) drives the fusing rear roller (drive) and the
paper exit roller (drive). The paper exit roller along with pressure
from the paper exit idle rollers drive the paper into the paper exit
tray.
<D model>
The duplex motor (ADUM) drives the fusing rear roller (drive) and
the paper exit roller (drive). The paper exit roller along with pres-
sure from the paper exit idle rollers drive the paper into the paper
exit tray.
C. Switchback operation
In duplex mode, POSD (on the fusing unit) detects the rear edge of
the paper from the fuser section. After a specific amount of time,
the duplex motor (ADUM) is reversed and the paper exit roller and
the fusing rear roller are reversed in the direction of the switch
back.
