Notes
Relay 5 Value
If Relay 5 is configured for a ‘high’ or
‘low’ alarm, the residual value to
activate the alarm indication is
adjusted from this screen
Relay 6 Status
Relay 6 can be configured for high,
low, attention or fail, or can be turned
off
Relay 6 Value
If Relay 6 is configured for a ‘high’ or
‘low’ alarm, the residual value to
activate the alarm indication is
adjusted from this screen
Common Relay
Settings
The common settings for delay prior to
activation, hysteresis, and action type
of the six relays are adjusted under
this screen selection
Delay
From this screen, the user configures
the time period, in minutes, for which
the alarm condition must persist before
activation of the alarm contact
1. The maximum allowable delay for the
alarm relay activation is 60 minutes
2. Adjustment of the alarm delay can
minimize the effects of a short-term alarm
condition.
Hysteresis
From this screen, the user configures
the range around the relay setpoint, in
percentage, beyond which the alarm is
asserted. (Hysteresis is also referred
to as ‘deadband’)
1. The maximum alarm hysteresis or
deadband is 10%.
2. Adjustment of the alarm hysteresis
allows for a ‘dampening’ of the alarm relay
contacts.
Relay Action
From this screen, the user configures
the alarm relays to be ‘Open’, meaning
that the relays energize in an alarm
condition, or ‘Closed’, meaning that the
relays de-energise in an alarm
condition
All six (6) alarm relays are configured to
open or close in an alarm condition.
Units
Under this screen selection, the user
configures the chemical to be
monitored, the measuring units, and
the temperature units
Chemical
From this screen, the user configures
the instrument to indicate
measurement of free chlorine, total
chlorine, bromine, or iodine
Not used for Cl1000B
Measuring Units
From this screen, the user configures
the instrument to indicate the residual
value in mg/l, ppm,
μ
g/l, or ppb
All mA output, relay settings, etc., are
automatically updated to be consistent
with the residual unit selection.
Temperature
From this screen, the user configures
the instrument to indicate the
temperature in degrees Fahrenheit or
Celsius
