Total Station Settings
The Settop M1 can be connected to a total station Trimble S8 with Finelock, either via USB cable.
Once the devices are connected, the control of the TS for monitoring is carried out via external software. You
can consult Settop Survey (
) for the most suitable software for your needs.
To control the TS via a cable connection, you can use a USB cable. The distance between the Settop M1
and the TS should not exceed the length of the cable (1.5 m approx.). The cable plugs into the hirose 6-pin
connector to the COM port of the TS and the USB connector on the specified port for it in the Settop M1
(COM2).
When a device is connected, an icon appears on the side of the serial number. Also, the green background
of the serial number indicates connection to the computer. With a white background, the station is linked but
not connected.
