Remote-Mount Antenna
In locations where a physical barrier restricts the use of a direct-mount antenna or where a longer transmission distance
is required, a remote-mount antenna ( Figure 1.5 ) may be installed up to 30 ft (10 m) away and connected by cable to the
antenna coupler. A remote-mount antenna and connecting cable may be purchased from Sensia (see Section 6 - Scanner
3300 Parts, page 77 ). If purchasing cable elsewhere, verify that the cable meets the maximum capacitance and induc -
tance ratings ( Figure 2.7, page 27 ) and that the cable length is adequate to connect to both the antenna and the coupler.

The installation of the antenna coupler, antennas, and antenna cable must meet the requirements shown in Figure 2.7,
