Error Indicator
When an error occurs, the ERROR lamp (red) blinks on and the buzzer sounds.
(If the error is hardware-related, the ERROR lamp turns on.)
In SR-1800 mode, the computer can obtain the following error status information from the device
by sending the command.
In SR-600 mode, the following status information system will differ. Refer to the SR-600 Operating
Manual.

type setting, the next timing mark
was detected within the range set
for reading.
Check that the reading format
settings and the sheet content
are set correctly.

When dirt or sheet folds are
detected in the timing mark area.
Clean and fix the sheet folds,
then reset the sheet.
Black level
error
There is white dirt stuck to the
reading unit.
Check the reading unit and
wipe off any dirt.
S2
There is a gap between the
sheet guide and sheet.
Check the position of the
sheet guide, and set the sheet
correctly. Reference: ”Setting
Sheets” (P.29)
Command error,
parameter error,
protocol error
The sent command, sent
parameter, or transmission
timing is incorrect.
Check whether or not the sent
command, sent parameter, or
transmission timing is correct.
Check that the USB cable is
properly connected.

The setting is for using the
back side reader unit, but the
rear side reader unit is not
