7. Function Introduction
7.1 Power Modes
i.
Power off completely mode. In this mode, the whole system is powered off completely; the
battery is at zero, and you must press the power switch on the rear of the mainframe to turn on
the vehicle.
ii.
Power off mode. In this mode, all the electronic control systems are in deep dormancy with the
remote module (Smart fob).
iii.
Stand-by mode: This is when the machine is on, but not achieving self-balancing yet. In this
mode most systems are activated, but the motor control system is in a normal dormancy which
can be activated from time to time.
iv.
Balance mode: The Trekker PT enters the self-balance phase and all the systems work in full
power. In this mode, the rider can ride the vehicle with limited speed. This is ideal for those
learning to ride a self balancing machine.
v.
Power assistant mode: In this mode, the Trekker PT is in self-balance mode, but working only
at half power. This mode is used for manoeuvring the vehicle WITHOUT a passenger.
vi.
Lock mode: The motor of the vehicle is locked, thus making it inoperable and very hard to drag.
7.2 Smart Key Fob and Signal Indicator
Trekker PT key fob is a rechargeable device, with information display and control functions. It can be used to control the
operation of the Trekker PT – it's keys are shown in the following figure. There is a dock for the key fob on the handlebar.
WARNING: Do not attempt to ride the vehicle in Power Assistant mode. The rider does not have
full control of the machine functions, and it could result in serious injury to rider and machine
