Automatic / Intelligent Safety Warnings
Trekker PT
Page 24
Should the rider reach the pre-set maximum driving speed, an audible warning will be given. The
Trekker PT will 'say' 'OVERSPEED, OVERSPEED, OVERSPEED'. If the rider does not reduce the speed
immediately, the Trekker PT will automatically adjust the footplate in a backward direction to slow the
machine to below the pre-set maximum speed
Additionally, if the rider remains on a steep slope for a long time, the footplate will recline to remind
the rider to get off rather than overload and strain the motor. Other similar situat ions that would
trigger this response would be on a steep slope, in a deep pit, and the weight of the rider (if he were
very heavy).
9.4.2 Critical Battery Power
Critical battery power. If the rider observes that there are 2 bars or less of battery powe r remaining,
they should get off the machine and immediately put the Trekker PT on charge. If the rider is in
situation where they are not near a charging station, they should get off the machine and take the
machine back to a charging station using assistance mode. The Trekker PT will not operate efficiently
with less than 2 bars of battery power remaining.
