If you reset the handset or the base, all of the
user-selectable features will restore to the
factory settings. It is useful for the following
purposes:
If you have made many wrong settings and
you want to restore the handset to the
factory presets.
If the phone shows logical malfunctions
(incorrect symbols on the display or behavior
etc.), the problem can be caused by an power
supply noise or an electrostatic spike that can
temporarily alter the memory of the internal
microprocessor. Resetting could solve the
problem.
