electro-stimulation. This program is particularly pertinent for groups
of muscles which are not (or only to a lesser extent) subjected to
the demands on those muscles associated with active training – for
example, the stomach muscles.
RehabILITaTIOn
This program provides muscle maintenance during quiescent states.
The object is to inhibit too high a level of muscular atrophy.
P22 Muscular atrophy prevention
This program exerts a measured working strain on the muscle in
order to inhibit wastage of the muscular tonus. The frequency and the
intensity of muscle training are matched to the immobilised muscle.
Once the user has completely recovered his, or her, mobility, the
original muscular tonus can be regained with Hypertrophy Program.
CaPILLaRISaTIOn
Muscular contractions generated by low frequency electro-stimulation
are applicable for capillarisation. They reduce significantly muscular
fatigue resulting from competition type activities.
P23 First phase capillarisation
This program develops the muscular capillaries net and with energetic
substrates, improves the supply from fast muscle fibres. In this way,
the fast fibres can maintain the exertion of strength for longer periods.
This program should be used during the last training phase before the
start of the sports season following intensive preparations (5th and 4th
week before the beginning of a competition, between five and seven
times a week). This working rhythm helps to limit the occurrence of
cramps and muscular tetanization during the competition itself.
P24 Second phase capillarisation
This program is for use following first phase capillarisation program. It
should be used between five and seven times a week during the three
weeks prior to the start of competitions.
