Air purge connection
For applications in dirty environments, the service life can be in-
creased by using air purge of
0.5 bar (max. 1 bar permitted)
at one
of the two S connections.
NOTE
Note that use under extreme ambient conditions (e.g. coolant
range, with casting or abrasive dust) can significantly reduce the
service life of these units and we cannot accept any liability for
this.

The inductive proximity switches used are equipped with reverse
polarity protection and are short-circuit-proof.
Make sure that you handle the proximity switches properly:
• Do not pull on the cable.
• Do not allow the sensor to dangle from the cable.
• Do not overtighten the mounting screw or mounting clip.
• Please adhere to a permitted bend radius of the cable. (

• Avoid contact of the proximity switches with hard objects and
with chemicals, in particular nitric acid, chromic acid and sul-
phuric acid.
