4.5 Types of communication of PROFINET
The product supports the PROFINET communication types:
•
TCP/IP:
Open Ethernet TCP/IP communication without real time
requirements
•
RT (Real Time):
IO data exchange between automation devices in real time
(>1 ms).
•
IRT (Isochronous Real Time):
Isochronous real time communication for synchronized data
exchange.
The product is incorporated into the PROFINET network as an IO
device.
