6.2 Commissioning the product

System integration

If products are connected to the PLC via PROFINET, the "SCHUNK
Flexible Protocol" communication protocol will be available. 
For further information, see "EGI with PROFINET interface"
software manual.

Ø

Configuring the hardware:
Assigning the IP address.
Enter a unique device name.

Ø

Switch on the logic voltage.

LED LOG lights up green.

Ø

Switch on the power supply.

LED PWR lights up green.

Ø

Make sure that the product is ready-to-operate and not
reporting any errors.

LED MS lights up green (product status).

LED NS lights up green (network status).

Ø

If necessary, rectify the error reported,

Start the control software.

Import the GSDML file into the control.

Add the product to the hardware configuration.

Load the hardware configuration into the control.

Ø

Assign the hardware name to the product.
