3.4 Barcode printing (optional)
3.5 Carriage filter
PRETREATmaker IV can be optionally equipped with an input interface
(serial) and a barcode scanner. With this option job parameters can be
transfered directly into the machine without doing any manual parameter
adjustments. With the Program „Pre4 barcode” (picture 1) work parameters
can be set up and printed with a barcode printer. Work parameters can also
be generated with another system and transferred to the machine.

Job parameter setup needs to follow these rules:
(read from left to right)
The first 4 numbers represent the nozzles (1 on - 0 off)
Next two numbers for spray start (in cm)
Next two numbers for spray stop (in cm)
Next 3 numbers are for carriage speed (030 - 150%)
Next number is for setting up cm or inch (1 = inch / 0 = cm)
Next number is for setting up double spray (1 = on / 0 = off)
Next number is for table setting (1 = on/ 0 = off)
The machine is equipped with a filter on the carriage. This filter needs to be cleaned once a month.
3.6 Scale usage (optional)
The PRETREATmaker IV can be optionally equipped with a scale. Through the installation of the scale the consumption rate of precoating liquid
can be seen on the display after each spray run (
picture 1 ). The scale is connected to the PRETREATmaker IV electronic ( picture 4 a ). The scale
can handle a maximum of 12 kg (26 lb) ( picture 4 b )

Installation of the scale
Each PRETREATmaker IV comes with a pre-installed plug for the scale. The
plug is located in the top left corner of the container compartment (
picture 4 a ).
Place the scale inside the PRETREATmaker IV (see picture 4). Pull out a jumper
from the plug. Connect the plug with the scale. Place the container on the scale.
Please make sure that neither the scale nor the container are touching any walls
as this my cause faulty measurements.
