WARNING
Incorrectly mounted parts
Risk of injury due to falling parts or insufficient lift capacity
►
The entire system must be accepted by a crane expert or crane specialist.
The legal regulations and safety regulations applicable at the location of use must
be adhered to during use of the chain hoist.
1.7 Intended Use
Schmalz chain hoists are intended solely for lifting loads. The loads are raised using special load-
bearing devices (e.g. lifting magnet or VacuMaster lifting device). They can be used as both stationary
and movable machines. The chain hoists are state of the art and manufactured in accordance with the
recognized technical safety regulations. They are checked for safety by the manufacturer. The chain
hoists are approved by independent classification companies (BG, among others).
The chain hoists in the above-mentioned series must only be used when in perfect technical working
order, in accordance with their intended purpose and by safety-conscious and hazard-aware trained
personnel.
The maximum permitted lift capacity and the drive group must be observed (see the type plate and
chapter 3).
