inspecting chain hoists are persons identified as authorized experts by the trade association.
1.10 Installation Location Requirements

The chain hoist may not be used in areas exposed to explosion hazards.
The chain hoist is designed for both indoor and outdoor use. If the chain hoist is to be used
outdoors, a protective roof is recommended to protect against weather conditions.
The ambient temperature must lie within the range of
–15°C to +50°C.
If you have doubts, consult the manufacturer before starting operations.
1.11 Workplace Requirements
Ensure that:
The operator has a good view of the entire working area
The operator’s work station is sufficiently lit and free of glare
The work station environment is neat and clean
1.12 Danger Zone Definition
When lifting or transporting the load, it is possible that the load could fall, which is why the area
directly under the crane system and the chain hoist is always considered a danger zone.
1.13 Personal Protective Equipment
When operating the chain hoist, always wear suitable protective equipment:
Protective work shoes (in accordance with EN 20345 safety class S1 or higher)
Sturdy work gloves (in accordance with EN 388 safety class 2133 or higher)
Industrial helmet (in accordance with EN 397)
Other protective equipment as required by the situation or prescribed by national regulations.
