6.8 Parking the vacuum tube lifter Jumbo
It is possible to park the vacuum tube lifter
J
UMBO
for a brief period of time.
Procedure
:
1. Stop the vacuum blower or ejector.
2. Leave the vacuum tube lifter
J
UMBO
in a safe position on the crane system or position in a holding
device (do not set down on the workpiece!).
6.9 Operation of accessories
6.9.1 Swiveling units
6.9.1.1 Pneumatic swiveling unit
Instructions on the operation of the pneumatic swiveling unit are provided in the operating instructions
supplied (Pneumatic swiveling unit).
6.9.1.2 Manual swiveling unit
Procedure:
1. Apply suction to the workpiece in a vertical position and lift the workpiece using the control handle
(Ergo/Sprint).
2. When the workpiece is lifted, the manual swiveling unit swivels into a horizontal position
automatically.
3. Once the required position has been reached, set down the workpiece as described in section
6.3.3 (Lowering and setting down loads).
To be able to move a workpiece from a vertical to a horizontal position once again, the manual
swiveling unit has to be returned manually to the vertical position. You will now be able to apply
suction to a vertically positioned workpiece once again.
Risk of injury due to parts breaking off and uncontrolled gripper
movements
If suction pads, which are intended for horizontal handling, are used to
swivel or vertically transport loads, the loads lifted will break off and fall.
The gripper will jolt upward, injuring people.

Pay attention to the design of the suction pad.

Do not transport any loads with anything on their surface that can
diminish lateral force (release agents, oil, dust, etc.).
