7.5 Battery
7.6 Tyres
The maximum tyre width allowed for the ebike is 38 mm
(measured width).
The nominal tyre width printed on the sidewall of the tyre
can differ from the actual width depending on the tyre
manufacturer.
!
The life span of the battery mainly depends on how intensely the e-bike
is used and is influenced by battery temperature when using or storing
the e-bike.
When in use:
• Battery temperature before charging and before going on a ride should
be room temperature (15-25 °C)
• Frequent use of high support levels reduces the life span of the battery
For long-term storage:
• Dry conditions
• Temperature: 0-20 °C
• Battery level: 30-60 %
Recharging and using a cold battery, parking the e-bike in blazing sunlight,
storage above temperatures of 30 °C as well as long term storage with full
or empty battery reduce the battery’s life span
The tyres on your e-bike are inevitably subjected to wear and tear. You can
slow down this process by using sufficient tyre pressure and by avoiding
locking the tyres when braking. The tyres should be replaced when the
rubber has become porous due to aging or when the tread is worn down
and the tyre canvas under the rubber becomes visible. Regularly check the
tyres for contaminants and carefully remove debris caught in the tread.
Tyre data (as equipped):
• Description: Continental Grand Prix Urban 35c
• Dimensions (ETRTO): 35-622
•
Nominal width: 35mm
• Recommended pressure: ~4.5 bar
• Maximum pressure: 6.0 bar
Your Mahle Ebikemotion specialist dealer can check the
remaining battery capacity for you.
