The Mahle Ebikemotion rechargeable battery is a lithi-
um-ion battery with a capacity of 250Wh. Lithium-ion
batteries do not exhibit a “memory effect“ and thus can
be charged at any battery level without concern. Please
pay attention to disconnect the battery from the charger
after it is fully charged to avoid continuous re-charging to
100% which might reduce battery life.
The battery should be at room temperature before
charging and at the beginning of a ride to extend battery
life and range.

3.5.5. Battery handling
3.6 Disc brakes bed-in procedure
Charging the battery:
Please plug the charger into the wall before plugging it into the charging
port of your Arthur eBike. The LED will turn on automatically and start
to change the colour intensity cyclically. The colour indicates the current
battery charging level. When the LED stays WHITE constantly the battery
is fully (>98%) charged.
Prior to the first use the pressure point at the brake lever can feel a bit
imprecise. Standing next to the e-bike pull both brake levers 5-10 times to
build up a defined pressure point.
Brand-new disc brakes require a break in period to obtain top perfor-
mance. According to the manufacturer Formula the brakes become fully
efficient after 50 decelerations from a speed of 30 km/h to a full stop.
Never
remove the battery yourself. In case of damage, or
other problems relating to the battery always contact your
specialist Mahle dealer or contact Schindelhauer Bikes
directly.
!
Please note that on your Schindelhauer e-bike, the front
brake is connected to the left brake lever by default!
!
Familiarise yourself with the performance of the brakes
away from road traffic. Especially the front brake has an
increased stopping power, that may lift the rear wheel
when braking hard.
