the alarm system number, waiting for between one and two rings and
then hanging up. The alarm system now knows to expect a call within
the next 10 to 90 seconds. Downloader then rings the alarm system
again, within 10 to 90 seconds. The alarm system answers after the
first ring.
Note: When using "Answer on 1 Ring" set the number of rings in "Rings to Answer"
to a higher number than that used by the equipment sharing the telephone line
with the alarm system. If you do not, then the other equipment will never
answer any incoming calls.
