2.14 Backup

When you need to keep the drive electronics powered up during mains losses, for example to

maintain the simulated encoder function, certain precautions are necessary.

Use an external 24Vdc / 2 A regulated power supply with protected output. Connect the
positive pole to 8-X3 (+Vbackup) and negative pole to 9-X3 (-Vbackup).

Set b99.8 = 1 to programme the automatic undervoltage alarm reset (when the mains voltage
is restored).

Furthermore is not required to write in the pico-PLC the programme described in the example 11 -

“Examples and applications” chapter.
