TECHNICAL GUIDE

STN Steam Generators

Tank cleaning

Easy way of cleaning the tank.

1.  Disconnect steam generator from main supply before opening generator’s covers. Only licenced electrician or professional

maintenance person can open covers and do cleaning.

2.  Clean level probe as stated in 2.a to 2.b.
3.  Remove temperature fuse and tank temperature sensor from terminal block.
4.  Remove the cassette where the heating elements are attached and clean deposits from the element.
5.  Remove deposits from bottom and sides of the tank. Open bottom plug to wash away deposits. Don’t use autodrain valve

since big particles can block autodrain valve.

6.  Attach bottom plug and use teflon pipe seal if needed.
7.  Attach heating elements. Make sure that temperature fuse and tank tempesensor are on the top of heating element.

Inserting heating element upside down will prevent the temperature fuse from working.

Difference between STP Tank Temperature

Sensor and STP Thermal Fuse

STP Tank Temperature Sensor

STP Thermal Fuse

Thermal Fuse Slot

Measures water temperature. NTC type, connected
to NTC2 terminal on STP-BOARD.

Inserted inside heating element.

Must be inserted into a heating element that is
positioned highest.

Temperature fuse that blows if overheated.
Connected in series with contactors coil. Protects
heating element from overheating.

Thermal Fuse

Tank Temperature Sensor

(can be placed on any of leveled heating element)

Thin wire

WARNING!

Do  not  overtighten  the  nuts  that

hold  heating  element  cassette.

Damaged nut can lead to leakage.
